Myspaces Wikis

It appears that all companies big and small are getting into the personal publishing business.
Unfortunately this is one of those instances where I might have to agree with the Open Source fans that the commercial offerings have much poorer offering and total experience than what's being offered on the open source market.

Microsoft's blogging tools offered with MSN Live, probably based largely on Sharepoint 2007 is slow, lethargic and less than customizable. Wordpress offerings have been growing from strength to strength. But never doubt the power that Microsoft commands. Most of what was said was said before of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Media Player and etc...etc.. versus Mozilla, versus Winamp. But nevertheless the offerings by Wordpress tend to get me excited and its the brightest one to leap out of the CMS open source offerings of which there a tonne of them- most of which are pretty mediocre actually.

Let's see how all this pans out in future.
